Persistance Pays off for Veney's Vega

Vic Miller entered his refurbished Veney's Vega funny car in the exhibition class at the California Hot Rod Reunion. The exhibition racers only got one run each day and the first day of racing was a bit slippery for anyone attempting to make a pass due to fog and moisture in the air. The track conditions improved as the weekend progressed.
On Sunday, they were not going to fit in the Exhibition class but that didn't stop several racers for heading up to the lanes anyway towards the end of the day. Vic Miller was one of them and fortunately they let him run and what a run it was. After carrying the wheels down track the car went straight down broadway and recording an 8.06, the car's best run ever and made Vic's trip to Bakersfield a success.
